Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) USA joins our people in Palestine as we voice our opposition to the Palestinian Authority's collaboration with the settler-colonial Zionist entity! In collaboration and security coordination with the Zionist regime, the PA has imposed sanctions to uphold the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip. We are calling on you all to join us in writing letters to PA Offices to demand that the PA end all security coordination with Israel and Lift the Sanctions on Gaza immediately!

I am writing today to join my voice alongside Palestinians and their supporters internationally as we demand the Palestinian Authority lift the sanctions on the Gaza Strip and end all security coordination with the zionist entity of Israel.

The zionist entity’s continued violence in the form of restrictive and colonial policies have transformed the Gaza Strip into the world’s largest open-air prison. The zionist entity’s siege on the Gaza Strip has now lasted over a decade and restricts every movement of Gaza’s inhabitants. We condemn the Palestinian Authority’s security coordination with the zionist entity of Israel, and its imposition of sanctions on the Gaza Strip in partnership with the zionist colonial state. The sanctions and the siege have produced a crisis in Gaza, creating conditions in which only 4% of water is suitable for consumption, access to electricity is limited to 4 hours a day, half of the population is suffering from starvation, 40% of children are malnourished, 54% of children suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), 13,000 cancer patients are barred from treatment, among many other unbearable conditions. According to the United Nations, if the imposed restrictions on the Gaza Strip continue, it will become unlivable by the year 2020. We the undersigned understand the atrocities happening in the Gaza Strip to be a genocidal project which we deplore, reject and will continue to resist until all responsible actors end their complicity.
The PA’s sanctions uphold the zionist entity’s siege on the Gaza Strip and facilitate the ongoing loss of life, land and hope for Palestinian freedom. In 2017, the sanctions contributed to continued deteriorating material conditions, resulting in a 30% cut to wages for public servants in the Gaza Strip and forcing 13,000 people into early retirement.
Closing
The Palestinian Authority is collaborating with the zionist entity to uphold colonial policies and strategies, including the imposition of restrictions on Gaza that isolate it and produce unlivable conditions. The Palestinian Authority’s security coordination with the zionist entity and its sanctions on the Gaza Strip reflect a betrayal of the Palestinian people and to the historic liberation legacy and mandate of the Palestinian leadership. It is time for the Palestinian Authority to renounce its position as a gatekeeper to its own peoples’ occupation and dispossession, and refuse its role as an agent responsible for the accruing violence Palestinians have had to endure. It is for this reason that Palestinians and allies across the world are demanding that justice be served by lifting the crippling sanctions from our people in the Gaza Strip and ending all forms of complicity, normalization and security coordination with the zionist entity.

We are calling on you all to voice your opposition to the PA and it's policies by calling PA Offices everywhere and demanding that they Lift The Sanctions!

As a [US resident/Palestinian], and I am joining my voice with Palestinians internationally as they demand the Palestinian Authority ends it’s collective punishment of our families in Gaza. The sanctions imposed since 2007- along with the Israeli siege- has caused a humanitarian crisis that is in no way natural, instead a creation of Israel and upheld by the PA. Power in Gaza is limited to less than 12 hours a day, over 95% of the water is undrinkable, 40% of children in Gaza are malnourished, and the atrocities go on. It is for this reason that I am joining the call for the Palestinian Authority to end its support of collective punishment, and lift the sanctions on Gaza now!”

Como un/a [residente de los Estados Unidos/ palestino/a], y me estoy uniendo a mi voz con palestinos a nivel internacional ya que exigen que la Autoridad Palestina termine su castigo colectivo de nuestras familias en Gaza. Las sanciones impuestas desde 2007 - junto con el asedio israelí - han provocado una crisis humanitaria que de ningún modo es natural, sino una creación de Israel y confirmada por la Autoridad Palestina. Fully aware of the collective power of the Palestinian people, our Zionist colonizers and the native gatekeepers of our colonization and occupation, the Palestinian Authority, have been intensifying their control and brutality: the situation in Gaza continues to rapidly deteriorate with the Zionist imposed blockade and the PA’s sanctions, and the PA has only exacerbated the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza by maintaining the sanctions and threatening the Zionist entity with a complete end to security coordination if the siege is lifted in an attempt to make Gazans so miserable they oust Hamas and beg for the PA instead, allowing this sham of an organization to expand its native importation of our colonization and occupation and maintain full control of our people in the homeland. Nevertheless, our people in Ramallah have refused to give in to these strong-arm tactics and righteously raised their voices to call for an end to the sanctions on Gaza and denounce the PA’s ongoing role in our collective disenfranchisement and security coordination, refuting the political and geographic fragmentation that our colonizers and their collaborators seek to impose upon us.
As the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), an independent, grassroots and transnational collective of Palestinians in Palestine and in exile worldwide as a result of the ongoing Zionist colonization and occupation of our homeland, we firmly reject the legacy and implications of the Oslo Accords, which resulted in the political and geographic fragmentation of our people and struggle by reducing liberation to a state-building project closed off to Palestinians outside the West Bank and Gaza and forecloses our full right to return. We seek to revive a pluralistic and inherently anti-colonial vision for Palestinian liberation whereby youth are positioned as the protagonists for social change. Regardless of our social and political differences, we believe that Zionist colonization remains the root cause of our dispossession, and that we will not achieve true justice and liberation until the colonial state has fallen and all of our people are allowed the right to return to their homelands. For these reasons, we stand with our brothers and sisters in Gaza, and those who denounce their collective suffering in Ramallah, demonstrating with their brave example how no matter the differences that divide us, we remain one people locked in a collective struggle for liberation and we will bear the bonds of separation and isolation no longer. From our people struggling against military occupation in the occupied territories to those suffering the brutal Zionist imposed and PA-backed siege and blockades in the Gaza strip, to the refugees who continue to languish in refugee camps throughout the Arab world, we are one people taking part in a larger collective struggle, and no matter how intense the opposition, together we will win!

إنطلاقاً من إدراك الاستعمار الصهيوني ووكلاءه المحليين (السلطة الفلسطينية) لعظم وأهمية الوحدة للشعب الفلسطيني، فقد ضاعف الاستعمار ووكلاءه من سطوتهم ووحشيتهم، حيث تجلى ذلك في التدهور المتسارع للأوضاع في قطاع غزة في ظل الحصار الصهيوني والعقوبات المفروضة من قبل السلطة والصهاينة وهي اجراءات زادت الأوضاع سوءاً بما يضيف لمعاناة أهلنا في غزة. وبلغ الأمر الى أن هددت السلطة بوضع حد للتنسيق الأمني في حال قام الصهاينة برفع الحصار عن غزة، حيث تسعى السلطة لوضع أهالي القطاع تحت أقصى الضغوط كي يقوموا بالانتفاض في وجه حماس لتعود السلطة الفلسطينية لحكم القطاع بما يوسع نفوذ تلك السلطة الوهمية ودورها كوكيل يسهل احتلال واستعمار والسيطرة الكاملة على أرضنا. بالرغم من ذلك رفض أهلنا في رام الله هذه السياسة التي تنتهجها السلطة ضد أهلنا في قطاع غزة ورفعوا أصواتهم بشجاعة وصدق داعين لإنهاء العقوبات على غزة ومستنكرين دور السلطة المستمر في تهميشنا الجماعي واضطلاعها بمهام التنسيق الأمني، وكانت هبة أهلنا في رام الله رداً صريحاً على مساعي التفتيت السياسي والجغرافي التي يسعى المستعمرون ووكلاءهم لفرضه علينا.
حركة الشباب الفلسطيني وهي تجمع مستقل شعبي وعابر للحدود من الفلسطينيين في الوطن وفي الشتات ،ترفض رفضاً قاطعاً إرث وتبعات اتفاقية أوسلو، والتي تسببت في التفتيت السياسي والجغرافي لشعبنا ونضالنا، واختزال نضالنا التحرري في مشروع "بناء دولة" يستثني فلسطينيين الخارج والضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة ويجهض حقنا الكامل في العودة. إننا في حركة الشباب نسعى لإحياء رؤية تعددية ومناهضة للاستعمار لتحريرفلسطين تضع الشباب في صدارة جهد التحرير والتغيير الاجتماعي. وبمعزل عن فروقاتنا الاجتماعية والسياسية، فإننا نؤمن بأن الاستعمار الصهيوني يبقى جذر تشتتنا، وأنه لن يتسنى لنا أن ننجز العدالة الحقيقية والتحرير إلا بسقوط الدولة الاستعمارية وعودة كامل شعبنا الى أراضيه. لهذه الأسباب، نقف مع أهلنا في غزة، ومع أولئك الرافضين للعقوبات الجماعية المفروضة عليهم في رام الله ممن ضربوا أسمى الأمثلة في كوننا شعب واحد منخرط في نضال جماعي من أجل التحرير على الرغم من الاختلافات القائمة بيننا، وأن هذا النضال لن تنال منه سياسات التفرقة والعزل. الى أهلنا المناضلين في وجه الحصار في قطاع غزة، إلى اللاجئين الذين يعانون الأمرين في مخيمات اللجوء في العالم العربي، نحن شعب واحد يخوض نضال كبير وجماعي، ومهما بلغت التحديات، فإننا حتما سننتصر.
